The Gruber Grind Booth with Externally Housed Baghouse Collection System is designed to significantly reduce the amount of dust created in the grinding stages of manufacturing, creating a healthier and more environmentally friendly work place. The dust collection system for this grind booth is an externally (outside) mounted Baghouse Filtration system. The filtration system (the "Baghouse") is located outside the building where the Grind Booth is located. By locating the Baghouse Filtration Unit outside, more floor space is available for production.

Description:

The External Collection Grinding Booth is a Gruber Grinding Booth with an Baghouse filtration system that is mounted out-of-doors (externally). The Baghouse filtration system is ducted to the plenum of the Grind Booth (located indoors). This system contains approximately 90% of the marble dust within the confines of the plenum chamber and baghouse. This virtually eliminates dust contamination, while recirculating clean filtered air back into the plant.

Operation of this energy-efficient system minimizes temperature changes in the plant by creating a low volumetric air flow with a high face velocity air intake at the adjustable plenum. Dust particles contained within the confines of the booth and baghouse without changing the temperature balance in the rest of the shop, a significant improvement over other systems. The elimination of heat loss is a tremendous value to shops located in cold weather zones.

Clean-up of marble dust particles is easy. Heavy dust particles settle in the Grinding Booths plenum chamber, which features a full-sized, walk-through door for convenient access. Finer dust particles are captured in the lower plenum of the baghouse, which is tapered to dump the filtered dust into three containers. The bag material is 99.9% effective capturing dust particles larger than 1 micron, while allowing clean air back into the plant. The unit can be made to vent this clean air to the outside during hot summer months to help keep your indoor temperatures lower.
