VALENCIA, California U.S.A., October 18, 2006 – Gruber Systems, Inc., a leading provider of molds, automation equipment and supplies for the cast polymer and other composites related industries – announced today that the Batchmaster™ III Batch Mixing System is now shipping.

This new third-generation Batchmaster™ III Batch Mixing System adds several new features and technologies compared to its predecessor – the Batchmaster II batch mixing system.

This new system can now store up to 20 different cast polymer matrix formulations. A touch screen interface has been added to improve set-up and offer user-friendly operation.

Other technical innovations are incorporated in the resin and catalyst systems, as well as the new capability to handle two separate base color systems simultaneously.

Resin system upgrades include PLC (computer) controlled heating systems that meters heated resin at a designated temperature, and now maintains that temperature when in stand-by-mode to eliminate warm-up time delays. Additional valves can be added to recirculate and heat the resin to maintain a secondary pre-heated resin source.

The new base color system now includes a continuously recirculating pump to keep pigments from settling and ensuring consistent color output. Additionally, the system now includes support for two separate base color systems.

“The new Batchmaster III not only offers the reliability and proven performance of earlier Batchmaster systems, but now delivers unrivaled accuracy, greatly simplified ease-of-use, and additional material processing flexibility”, stated Jim Thiessen, Vice President of Engineering at Gruber Systems. “This system is well suited to fairly diverse composite material processing beyond cast polymers”.
